The Bible book of Ecclesiastes records the observations of a man gifted with the greatest of wisdom, King Solomon.  He considers the earthbound, time-bound experience of natural man without the Saviour – life under the sun.  With penetrating insight the Preacher repeatedly concludes such life under the sun to be vanity or futility.  He speaks for God as he contrasts an earthly, horizontal perspective with life before the God who made the sun.  It’s a viewpoint natural man without the Spirit of God cannot discover, for he “receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” (I Cor. 2:14).  At length wisdom brings us to the only viable conclusion.  Come along with me as we walk with the wise.
