King David is the focus in the book of II Samuel, that man after God’s own heart.  Such lessons of life we learn from this man.  But it’s really God who is our Teacher, as He deals with David.  Lessons of patience in waiting on God.  Lessons of prayer in dependence on God.  Lessons of boldness through faith in God.  Oh David was by no means a faultless man.  But one of his most winning qualities was his willingness to hear and repent when confronted with fair rebuke.
