Paul’s second letter to the Corinthian believers is a very personal and passionate expression of his heart to that troubled church. In the process Paul relates the true nature of God’s ministry; never selfish, but ever difficult. Yet it is the very trouble of ministry that reveals the treasure within the frail earthen vessel of our lives. Though we are hurt for the cause of the Christ, yet never are we so useful as then in revealing the treasure of Christ and His gospel within us.
